Hot, Hot, Hot!

Record heat wave this week. Mom and Aunt Ferris packed up and rented a motel room for a couple of days. We're eeking by with our little AC's.

Harvest

Wheat fields north of Lebanon.

No good place to pull over for these guys, but they just popped out from the soft background begging to be photographed. Pull off to the side as much as I could and snapped a couple quick ones.

I used auto curves for this one. Photoshop really changed the look. I like it, but I don't think it's true to the colors I saw that morning.

Keen Commuter Sandals

My new biking shoes. The Shimano's finally bit the dust. Hadn't really planned for replacements this year, but I didn't want to risk the Shimanos on the tour. Lots of reading lead me to understand these Keens are a lot narrower than there other sandals. Fortunately for me the appear to fit like a glove (probably better fit than my other keens). Seem to be very comfortable to walk in as well as riding. I can't feel the cleat when walking.
New and old.
Happy feet. First test tomorrow on the King's Valley ride.

Poppies

Poppies from Cheadle lake taken this past June. Photoshop really changed the colors on this one, but I kind of like it. More of a manipulated image than photo. The original scene looked nothing like this.
