This is considered mental training, clearing your mind, meditation if you will.
Perhaps I need a mantra to chant while doodling :) It is meditative once I get past that initial blank page anxiety.
I like it! Kinda reminds me of the psychedelic artwork of the 70s...perhaps a la Yellow Submarine?
Aw yes, I have the song and fondly remember that funky little movie. "In the town where I was born, Lived a man who sailed to sea..."
Wow Kari. So much detail. Good job.
Thank you. The details help hide the mistakes! ;)
Very nice colors. The colors aren't bright enough for psychedelic art.And you don't need to train, only 50 miles per day, you'll be done for the day by mid-morning coffee, right?
The original colors are even more pastel. Photoshop helped bring out a little more color. A little more saturation and we can get to psychedelic. Of course we don't need no stinking training. We'll have a tailwind and downhills all the way home. Easy Peasy.
Tailwind and downhill. Sounds right to me...
How gloriously 70s! Charlie6 and I are thinking the same thing!
Hi Martha, I probably got my start in this kind of thing back in the 70's. Remember Flair pens? I had to have every color and you could order these calendars with funky line art drawings to color in. Guess I never out grew it. :)
What Dom said... reminded me of the 70's flower power stuff. I want this on a t-shirt!
Oh yeah flower power - I'd forgotten that. All these great memories from back in the day. More inspiration for another project!
Beautiful! YOu are an artist! my doodles never look anything like this ever.
love this. just made it my desktop background..
