29/29 - TWENTY SEVEN: I am reduce to this...

itty-bitty annoying netbook
Our computer died :-(

Probably a power supply issue, and hopefully we'll be back up in a day or two.
Still,gotta post though!

  1. Isn't it amazing how dependent one gets on these devices? I would have a hard time without mine...

  2. Better posting from a Netbook than a smart phone. I hope it's only a power supply issue for you.

    lucky thing I have two spares. Hope you get back to normal soon. I know what you mean about the small keyboard. I am a touch typist and it drives me nuts when my fingers miss the keys, but a netbook is better than nothing

  4. Bluekat - I am not sure what I would do without my computer. I think I would lost and be forced to read a real paper book. I hope you get back up and running soon.

  5. At least you have a backup. Good thing you didn't have a long ride report to do.

    Hope it is a cheap and easy fix.

  6. That looks like an almost normal keyboard. On my little Dell Mini9, they moved the apostrophe key to the bottom row next to the space bar. It is about 90% of normal size. I took the Dell on my trip to backup the SD cards in my camera and that is all it ever got used for. No Internet for several weeks and I lived to tell about it. Some others going through Facebook withdrawal didn't fare as well.

  7. Thanks everyone,
    Back to the big computer.

    @Sonja,
    At least we have the netbook. We used to have only one computer, and I'd get very grumpy with no access. Just ask Ron :D

    @Toadmama
    lol - true that! I had to email from my smart phone and that was bad enough.

    @Bob,
    Yeah, those keyboards are what kill me. I did a few comments until the frustration got to be too much. I don't mind reading on the netbook, but that's about all it's good for. I learned typing on an old manual...you know the ones with a big return lever, not some wimpy little enter button! ;)

    @Dar
    That was my other saving grace, I have a couple of library books on hand. As long as I have something good to read, life will go on.

    @Richard,
    It's not bad, just cumbersome. I'm always hitting the wrong key or can't "feel" where I'm at. I hate it when the rearrange the keys. At my age I don't know if it's been moved, or if I've just forgotten where it was! I have a Facebook account, and it' makes me crazy. I just don't get Facebook. :)
