Impatiently waiting for spring

I cheated. I used the iphone instead of a webcam and photoshop for editing. Being that colored pencil has been the tool of choice, I had to buck the trend and go with chalk and charcoal. It's messier ya know, and I do love to get my hands all chalky and charcoaly. :D

Thanks to Trobairitz for coming up with a game to help pass the time while the rain falls...
...and the wind blows...
...and the snow falls...
...and trees blow over....
...and Sam cries in the garage for those long forgotten days of dry roads and warm sunshine...sigh.

    1. Hi Raftnn
We Oregonians start to whine about this time each year. If we're still whining in July (such as last year), then things can get real ugly! Gotta say Mother Nature has gone all out for us lately!

  2. Great shot! Charcoal was a good choice!

Yes, your weather is sounding horrible! Hope it evens out soon.

    1. Thanks Lori,
There is rain that you can ignore and rain that even keeps an Oregonian inside. Too much of the latter lately.

  3. Hey Bluekat...if I could trade weather with you right now I would! It's indecently warm here and no snow in the forecast...seems I've bought myself a snow preventer in Valencia!

    ;(

    1. Hi Dom
Yeah, what's up with that? What happened to all your snow! :) Please feel free to send your nice weather this way, and I'll send you our precip. Pretty sure Colorado can turn it into some nice fluffy white stuff for Valencia.

  4. Yay, good one Kari. I like the charcoal effect. Very smart looking.

And I agree, this weather sucks. How many more inches of rain on the way?

    1. Thanks Trobairitz,
Inches? Are we still measuring just in inches? I may have to start commuting by kayak!

coloured crayons, or charcoal, you have a great Mug !

Let Nature rain and blow itself out, then it will be clear sailing for the rest of the year

  7. Nice one, I like the charcoal looks. (would have used that for mine, but couldn't find it in the app...)

The weather is really testing us, isn't it?

    1. Hi Richard,
Definitely is a pattern of whining from us folks in the PNW region :) Ah well, summer is coming!

  9. I agree with bob, you have a great mug.

I don't know how to do all this stuff, but I've been appreciating other folk's efforts.

    Thanks, for doing the challenge.

    1. Hi Keith,
Funny thing is I earn my living with photoshop and the like, but take me out of my familiar software and all the iphones, webcams, assorted apps and various techy stuff just make my head spin. :)

  10. Awesome picture! Love all the little apps & goodies. I went with pixels to buck the trend as well. Waiting for spring and getting more impatient with all of this blusteriness.
